Interpreter standards
EMYSTI’s onboarding process includes source-backed professional training, practical interpreting assessment and confirmation of confidentiality and service standards. Each approved module or assessment records its material version, source location, use permission or anonymisation status, and reviewer. These are working requirements for eligibility in the EMYSTI interpreter network; they are not a government licence or a public certification claim.
We consider the language direction, subject area, format, location, dates, preparation materials, participant expectations and any special access or conduct requirements. A suitable interpreter for a general meeting may not be the right person for a medical consultation or technical site visit.
We minimize information requested at the first inquiry. Materials are requested only when preparation genuinely requires them, and the appropriate sharing method, access and retention expectations are confirmed before sensitive documents are sent.
The EMYSTI team remains available throughout the assignment. If the scope, schedule or participants change, we check whether the original interpreter and plan are still appropriate.
