Interpreter rates in Japan
All fees are quoted in Japanese yen and include tax. EMYSTI provides a formal quote based on the service time, interpreting format, location, preparation and travel. A booking is confirmed only after the client accepts the quote.
Interpreter rates in Japan
The ¥12,000 hourly rate applies to an EMYSTI professional interpreter. The ¥13,500 hourly rate applies when Christine Lee personally performs the interpreting. Both rates include Japanese consumption tax. Christine reviews every assignment, regardless of who performs the interpreting.
The quote states the language direction, date, service time, interpreting format, location, proposed interpreter and payment terms. Any agreed travel, out-of-hours service, specialist preparation, equipment or additional coordination is listed separately.
Travel expenses are quoted when applicable. Specialist preparation, out-of-hours work, travel between locations, complex coordination and ongoing support are listed separately when they involve an additional charge. Simple order-related email or telephone assistance of up to 15 minutes may be included; repeated administrative work and long-term follow-up are not.
All quotes are issued in JPY. If a foreign-currency payment option is offered, the amount is converted at the payment provider’s rate on the payment date and the final payment page shows the payable amount. Formal simultaneous interpreting requires a separate quote based on team size, audio, venue, equipment, preparation and schedule.
