Focused expertise

Interpreting built around the situation—not just the language pair.

Every assignment is reviewed for subject matter, format, location, preparation and professional protocol before an interpreter is proposed.

01

Medical

For international patients, families, hospitals and healthcare organisations that need accurate English, Japanese or Chinese communication. EMYSTI reviews the clinical context, appointment flow, terminology, privacy needs and location before confirming the responsible lead and an appropriate professional interpreter.

02

Medical aesthetics

Support for consultations involving aesthetic medicine, plastic and reconstructive surgery, regenerative medicine and related clinic visits. EMYSTI pays particular attention to procedure terminology, expectations, alternatives, risks, consent boundaries and confidential handling of sensitive personal information.

03

Business

Professional interpreting for companies, investors, professional advisers and international delegations conducting business in Japan. We prepare around the participants, decision points, vocabulary, sensitivities and desired outcome—not only the language pair.

04

Technology

Interpreting for engineers, researchers, product teams, manufacturers and investors working across AI, semiconductors, advanced materials, new energy, automotive and adjacent fields. EMYSTI scopes both domain depth and meeting mechanics before selecting the interpreter.

05

Exhibitions

On-site language support for exhibitors, visiting buyers, industry delegations and conference teams at events across Japan. EMYSTI prepares the product story, target visitors, lead-handling boundaries, venue rules, schedule and handover expectations before the show opens.

06

Executive & VIP

For executives, investors, family offices, public-facing guests and international delegations whose schedules combine meetings, site visits, formal events and movement across Japan. EMYSTI plans continuity, protocol, confidentiality, travel and handovers as one managed assignment.

The EMYSTI standard

Specialist review with one accountable company.

You contract with EMYSTI. We remain accountable for the brief, interpreter selection, quote, preparation, communication and service quality.

01

Screened, not randomly assigned

Language ability, relevant experience, location, availability, confidentiality and on-site conduct are reviewed for each brief.

02

Prepared before the first word

Agendas, terminology, participant roles, venue details and sensitive materials are handled as part of assignment preparation.

03

One company, one accountable process

Quotation, payment, interpreter coordination, changes and follow-up are managed through EMYSTI rather than fragmented contacts.

Practical answers

Before you request an interpreter

How are medical and healthcare-AI-related projects reviewed?

Christine Lee is the responsible professional lead for selected projects in these areas. EMYSTI confirms whether she should interpret personally, lead preparation or assign another qualified interpreter after reviewing fit and availability.

Do you provide service outside Tokyo?

Yes, subject to interpreter availability and travel arrangements. Transport, accommodation and travel time are reviewed and included in the quote where applicable.

Does medical interpreting include medical advice?

No. We facilitate accurate communication with licensed healthcare professionals. We do not diagnose, recommend treatment or guarantee clinical outcomes.

Can I upload medical records or technical documents?

Sensitive files will be accepted through a private, time-limited upload process after the initial request is created. Access is limited to authorised project personnel.

Is simultaneous interpreting charged at the same hourly rate?

Not automatically. Formal simultaneous work can require multiple interpreters, equipment and advance preparation, so it is reviewed and quoted separately.
