Helpful, within limits
The interpreter helps you move smoothly from one setting to the next, but does not act as a personal assistant, security, lawyer or decision-maker unless separately agreed.

Executive and VIP interpreting does not include bodyguard services, legal representation, financial advice, travel agency services or authority to act for the client. Any extra role must be separately agreed.

Questions about this service
Is the interpreter also a concierge or security?+
No. We cover interpreting and agreed schedule support. Concierge, transport management, personal assistance or security need separate, clearly named providers.
Can the same interpreter stay with us across Japan?+
We first look at the dates, travel, working hours, rest and subject. Depending on what is safe and realistic, one interpreter or a coordinated team keeps things consistent.
How do you handle a guest whose identity is confidential?+
We share only what is needed to do the job, with access limited to authorised people. An NDA, aliases or a special contact process can be agreed before you confirm.
Can we meet the interpreter first?+
Yes, if it helps. We can arrange an online introduction of up to 15 minutes before the booking is final.
Can you translate documents before or after the meeting?+
Yes. EMYSTI also translates meeting materials, minutes, presentations, manuals and product or software text between Japanese, Chinese and English, prepared with the same terminology as the interpreting assignment. Document work is quoted separately by volume, field and deadline.

After the first hour, time is charged in 15-minute steps.
An EMYSTI professional interpreter costs ¥12,000 per hour (about ¥48,000 for a 4-hour half day, ¥96,000 for an 8-hour full day). Christine Lee costs ¥13,500 per hour (about ¥54,000 for a half day, ¥108,000 for a full day). Both rates include tax. The minimum is 1 hour, then 15-minute steps. Travel, specialist preparation and out-of-hours work are added to the quote if needed.
Travel, accommodation, rush jobs, nights and weekends, or preparing materials are listed in the quote if needed.
Formal simultaneous interpreting is not charged at the single-interpreter hourly rate. It needs a separate quote, because we first have to plan the interpreter team, booth or portable equipment, audio, venue, preparation time and shifts.
