How EMYSTI prepares and delivers
Protocol and preferences
Names, titles, speaking order, dress, access, privacy, transport and communication preferences are confirmed before the programme.
Continuity without overreach
The interpreter supports clear transitions between settings while avoiding personal assistant, security, legal or decision-making duties unless separately contracted.
Controlled handovers
When hours or locations require more than one interpreter, EMYSTI defines shifts, briefing continuity and need-to-know information transfer.
Christine’s oversight and interpreter selection
Calm professional presence
Assignments are selected for discretion, register, on-site judgement, subject fit and reliability—not language fluency alone.
One accountable company contact
EMYSTI manages availability, quotation, interpreter assignment, approved schedule changes and service follow-up under one engagement.
The standard consecutive-interpreting rate is ¥12,000/hour for an EMYSTI professional interpreter. Assignments delivered by business founder and chief interpreter Christine Lee are ¥13,500/hour. Both rates include tax. The minimum is 1 hour; time after that is billed in 15-minute increments. Travel, specialist preparation and out-of-hours requirements are quoted when applicable.
Formal simultaneous interpreting is not sold at the base single-interpreter hourly rate. It requires a separate quote after EMYSTI reviews the interpreter team, booth or portable equipment, audio feed, venue, preparation time and operating schedule.
Executive and VIP interpreting does not include close protection, legal representation, financial advice, travel agency services or authority to act for the client. Any additional role must be separately defined and contracted.
Practical answers
Questions about this service
Is the interpreter also a concierge or security professional?+
No. Language and agreed schedule support are included. Concierge, transport management, personal assistance or security requires clearly identified providers and separate scope.
Can the same interpreter stay with us throughout Japan?+
We first assess dates, travel, working hours, rest and subject matter. Continuity may be provided by one interpreter or a coordinated team, depending on safe and realistic scheduling.
How is a confidential guest’s identity handled?+
Only information necessary for assignment delivery should be shared, with access limited to authorised personnel. Additional NDA, alias or communication protocols can be discussed before confirmation.
Can we meet the proposed interpreter first?+
Yes, when appropriate. EMYSTI can arrange an online introduction of up to 15 minutes to confirm fit, protocol and expectations before the assignment is finalised.
