The standard consecutive-interpreting rate is ¥12,000/hour for an EMYSTI professional interpreter. Assignments personally delivered by professional lead Christine Lee are ¥13,500/hour. Both rates include tax. The minimum is 1 hour; time after that is billed in 15-minute increments. Travel, specialist preparation and out-of-hours requirements are quoted when applicable.
Formal simultaneous interpreting is not sold at the base single-interpreter hourly rate. It requires a separate quote after EMYSTI reviews the interpreter team, booth or portable equipment, audio feed, venue, preparation time and operating schedule.
Technical interpreting is communication support, not engineering certification, cybersecurity review, export-control advice or operational authorisation. Clients retain responsibility for safety and technical decisions.

How do you decide whether an interpreter fits our technology?+
We review the subject, meeting purpose, depth, terminology, format and available preparation time, then confirm relevant experience rather than relying only on a broad “technical” label.
Can we share confidential drawings or specifications?+
Only after the assignment and access method are confirmed. Mark export-controlled, security-sensitive or highly restricted materials clearly so EMYSTI can determine whether they can be accepted.
Can the interpreter operate our machinery or advise on safety?+
No. The interpreter conveys instructions and questions but does not replace qualified operators, engineers, site induction or the client’s safety controls.
Do you cover factory floor visits?+
Yes, subject to location, PPE, access, noise and safety requirements. These conditions should be shared before quotation so the right format and interpreter can be proposed.
